ShipFast is a Next.js boilerplate built by Marc Lou — a solo developer from France living in Bali. Frustrated with spending weeks setting up the same auth, payments, and emails for every new project, he packaged it all into one reusable starter kit. Launched in August 2023 on Product Hunt, it hit $1,000 in the first 7 hours and $63K in the first 60 days. The model is simple: pay once ($149), use forever. No subscription. Within months ShipFast crossed $1M in total revenue and became one of the best-known developer tools in the indie hacker community. Marc grew it entirely through Twitter by building in public - sharing revenue, code snippets, and failures openly.
