VWO
PREMIUMA/B testing and conversion optimization platform used by 6,000+ brands.
Paras Chopra launched Visual Website Optimizer in 2010 from Delhi, India as a solo founder. He had been experimenting with A/B testing on his own blogs and realized the tools available were too expensive and too technical for most websites. VWO was a point-and-click A/B testing tool — no coding required. He launched with a blog post that went viral in the marketing community, getting covered by major marketing blogs. Within a year he had 1,000 paying customers without raising a dollar. By 2013 VWO crossed $7M in annual revenue. By 2016 the company (Wingify) was generating $1M+ monthly. In January 2025 private equity firm Everstone acquired Wingify for $200M — a landmark exit for an Indian bootstrapped SaaS company. Paras became one of the most celebrated founder stories out of India, proving that a bootstrapped product from a tier-1 Indian city could scale to a $200M exit competing with well-funded American counterparts.
